Police investigate hit-and-run incidents in Bad Schwartau and Ebenshausen

Police in Germany are investigating two separate hit-and-run incidents involving parked vehicles.

In Bad Schwartau, an unidentified driver struck and damaged a parked trailer on Groß Parin Straße between the evening of August 12 and the morning of August 13, 2026. Investigators found a 1.6-meter-long silver decorative strip at the scene, which likely belongs to the offending vehicle. The driver is suspected to have caused significant damage to the front and passenger side of their car and may have moved the trailer to the sidewalk following the collision.

In Ebenshausen, a 45-year-old man discovered his Citroen had been damaged while parked on Werrastraße on August 14. Authorities believe the perpetrator may have been a motorcyclist who sustained injuries during the collision and fled the scene without reporting the accident.
