Eisendo Butter Monaka sees high demand and limited availability

Eisendo, a confectionery manufacturer based in Marumori, Miyagi Prefecture, is seeing high demand for its Butter Monaka. The product, which features Tokachi red bean paste and butter with Guérande salt, has received the ‘Omotenashi Selection’ award.

As of late August 2026, standard 6-piece and 12-piece sets are sold out on the official online shop. A lottery for non-standard 12-piece sets is currently active. Consumers can find available stock through JRE MALL or at specific ‘Mononoke’ locations in Tokyo, including Ueno, Akihabara, and Tokyo Stations. In Sendai, Bashoen Chaho is listed as a retailer, though stock availability should be confirmed locally.
