Eishi Kubo joins Laylac Shiga FC on developmental loan

Eishi Kubo, an 18-year-old midfielder from Cerezo Osaka, has joined J3 side Laylac Shiga FC on a developmental loan until June 30, 2027. The player, who is the younger brother of Japanese national team midfielder Takefusa Kubo, will wear the number 7 jersey.

Kubo previously developed through the Yokohama F. Marinos academy before moving to Spain to play for Real Sociedad's youth teams, including Real Sociedad B. After joining Cerezo Osaka in the summer of 2025, he made his debut in a friendly match against Borussia Dortmund in July.

Upon the announcement, Kubo expressed his desire to grow through the move and stated, “I will do my best to contribute to the team's victories.”
