Eispiraten Crimmitschau defeat Kassel Huskies 5-3

Eispiraten Crimmitschau secured a 5-3 away victory against the Kassel Huskies, handing the previously undefeated Huskies their first loss of the season. The match featured five different goalscorers for Crimmitschau.

The game was preceded by an emotional banner ceremony honoring Alexander Heinrich, which caused a 10-minute delay. Despite an early breakaway goal by Darren Mieszkowski for Kassel, Crimmitschau responded with an equalizer from Logan Will. The visitors eventually took control with goals from Noah Garthe and Louis Brune.

Crimmitschau's Pascal Seidel made his DEL2 debut in goal, supported by backup Steve Majher. Kassel's goalkeeper Philipp Maurer performed notable saves, including an acrobatic maneuver to deflect a shot, but the Huskies were unable to overcome the visitors' momentum.
