Eğitim Gücü Sen requests 25% pay increase for guidance teachers

The Eğitim Gücü Sen union has formally applied to the Ministry of National Education (MEB) requesting a 25% increase in additional lesson fees for psychological counselors and guidance teachers working in institutions with special education classes or branches.

The union argues that these educators face increased workloads and responsibilities due to their involvement in the educational processes of special education students. These duties include diagnostic and referral processes, participation in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, counseling services for parents, and monitoring integration or inclusion practices.
