Eivør releases new album ‘Tungl’ via Nuclear Blast

Faroese musician Eivør Pálsdóttir has released her new album, ‘Tungl’, marking her first release through the label Nuclear Blast. The album, named after the Faroese word for ‘moon’, features ten tracks that explore themes of change, uncertainty, and cycles.

Musically, the project blends organic folk elements with ambient textures, electronic touches, and alternative pop. Critics note the album’s heavy emphasis on atmosphere and emotional weight rather than traditional heavy metal or high volume. The work is characterized by Eivør’s wide vocal range, spanning from soft low tones to piercing screams, and features lyrics primarily in her native Faroese language.
