Eivør releases twelfth studio album ‘Tungl’

Faroese singer-songwriter Eivør Pálsdóttir has released her twelfth studio album, titled ‘Tungl’, which means ‘moon’ in Faroese. This release marks her first album with Nuclear Blast Records and follows her 2024 work, ‘ENN’. The album is a collaboration involving Shinigami Records and Nuclear Blast.

‘Tungl’ features ten tracks that blend elements of trip-hop, neofolk, avant-garde pop, and electronica, drawing inspiration from Nordic landscapes and medieval Faroese chain-dance rituals. The production includes contributions from Tróndur Bogason, Mikael Blak, Birita Dam, and Elinborg.

Accompanying the launch is the music video for the opening track, ‘Og Mánin Græt / And The Moon Cried’, directed by Gwenaël Akira. The artist described the song as being about a distant memory that persists like a dream.
