EKAM conducts tactical demonstration at Thessaloniki International Fair

The Greek Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (EKAM) conducted a tactical demonstration at the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair, simulating an armed robbery scenario. During the exercise, EKAM officers utilized Spot, a robotic dog used by the ATLAS network, to enter a building, provide live video feeds, and assist in neutralizing a suspect.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis attended the demonstration. Police Chief Dimitris Mallios presented the Prime Minister with a globe representing the 38 police services participating in the ATLAS network, which includes EKAM. Officials emphasized that integrating technology is essential to making the police force more effective and useful for citizens.
