EKASDYM President discusses basketball progress in Western Macedonia

Sokratis Brusiovas, president of the EKASDYM basketball association, discussed the progress and challenges facing the organization in Western Macedonia. He noted that the region faces unique difficulties, particularly during winter when long distances and harsh weather conditions make travel as challenging as in island regions.

Brusiovas highlighted recent advancements, including the digitalization of championships and efforts to attract more youth to the sport through social media and modern engagement. To improve competition, the association has implemented a new system for youth categories, separating teams based on skill level rather than strictly by geography to prevent excessive score disparities.
