Ekhaya FC wins Airtel Top 8 title and donates K30 million to grassroots football

Ekhaya FC and Mighty Wanderers have donated football equipment worth K30 million to the Play Soccer Malawi Academy to support grassroots development. The initiative, facilitated by businessmen Thomson and William Mpinganjira, was announced alongside the Airtel Top 8 final.

In the tournament final held at Bingu National Stadium, Ekhaya FC made history as the first debutant club to win the Airtel Top 8 title, defeating Mighty Wanderers 2-1. Ekhaya FC forward Allen Chihana was confirmed as the tournament's top scorer, having scored in all four of his team's matches. Chihana is expected to receive K1.35 million for his individual performance.
