Ekiadolor retirees pledge support to Governor Okpebholo for 2027 campaign

Retirees from the defunct College of Education, Ekiadolor, have pledged their solidarity to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo ahead of the 2027 election cycle. During a visit to the Edo State Government House, the group expressed interest in being integrated into the upcoming campaign schedule.

Edo State Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa informed the association that Governor Okpebholo has already addressed outstanding financial issues by disbursing entitlements to displaced workers in three installments. The retirees, represented by Richard Amayo, expressed appreciation for the clearing of backlogs left by the previous administration but requested the final tranche of compensation to ensure financial stability and mobility for their campaign activities.

The association, which consists of approximately 1,500 members, aims to assist in achieving Governor Okpebholo’s goal of securing 2.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
