Ekipa WK conducts educational mushroom foraging expedition

The Ekipa WK team conducted a mushroom foraging expedition accompanied by Mateusz from the Źródła Natury channel. The activity focused on educational identification of various species rather than competition.

Participants identified several edible species, including saffron milk caps, boletes, parasol mushrooms, and bay boletes. The session emphasized distinguishing edible mushrooms from dangerous look-alikes, such as the difference between the parasol mushroom and certain poisonous species. The expert highlighted specific identification features like stem rings, base swelling, and scent.

Additionally, the group discussed the importance of the forest ecosystem. It was noted that even poisonous or inedible mushrooms should not be destroyed unnecessarily, as they play vital roles in matter decomposition and maintain mycorrhizal relationships with trees.
