Ekiti State Governor appoints Olayinka as Accountant General
Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has approved the immediate appointment of Mrs. Titilayo Olarike Olayinka as the new State Accountant General. The decision follows her retirement from the State Civil Service as Accountant General and Permanent Secretary after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60.
Mrs. Olayinka, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA. She has a background spanning the private sector, public sector, and international development.
During her previous tenure, Ekiti State achieved high rankings in the BudgIT State Fiscal Transparency League and was recognized by PLSI for local government budget transparency and subnational audit efficacy. Her reappointment is intended to maintain the state’s standing in accountability and fiscal management as the administration prepares for its second term.
