Ekiti State Governor distributes 100 vehicles to security agencies

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has distributed 100 operational vehicles to various security agencies to enhance surveillance, mobility, and rapid response capabilities. The distribution ceremony took place at the Osuntokun Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti.

The recipient agencies include the Nigeria Police, the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Department of State Services, and local security outfits. Governor Oyebanji stated that the initiative is intended to support the eventual take-off of the proposed Ekiti State Police force.

During the event, the Governor emphasized that the provision of these vehicles is part of a broader commitment to strengthening the state's security architecture. He urged security personnel to maintain professionalism, increase patrols, and ensure strategic visibility, particularly as the state approaches upcoming political activities and elections.
