Eko sklad launches energy renovation funding for companies

Eko sklad, acting as a financial intermediary for SID Banka, is launching a new financial instrument to support companies in comprehensive energy renovations of buildings. The program combines loans with non-refundable grants in the form of partial principal write-offs.

Part of the SID Bank Holding Fund for the 2021–2027 period, the initiative includes approximately 17 million euros from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Combined with SID Bank's own resources, nearly 22 million euros will be available, with roughly 14 million euros allocated to the Eastern Slovenia cohesion region and nearly 8 million euros to the Western Slovenia cohesion region.

Additional funds from the 2014–2020 financial perspective, derived from repayments of public sector energy efficiency loans, are also available for continuing these renovation measures. A public call is expected to be announced in October, following a technical presentation on September 30 involving SID Banka, Eko sklad, and the Jožef Stefan Institute.
