EKPO and Akkodis test NM20 fuel cell stack in hydrogen truck
EKPO Fuel Cell Technologies and Akkodis have launched a collaborative project to test the NM20 fuel cell stack in real-world logistics operations. The project involves integrating the NM20 stack into a 40-ton hydrogen-powered truck to validate the technology beyond controlled test-bench environments.
Akkodis is responsible for the development, integration, and assembly of the complete fuel cell electric powertrain, including high-voltage integration, control systems, and thermal management. The truck will be deployed by a logistics company to collect essential operating data under varying load profiles, gradients, and environmental conditions.
This initiative aims to demonstrate the reliability and efficiency of hydrogen technology for decarbonizing heavy-duty transportation. The data gathered during these real-world driving cycles will inform the future development of fuel cell systems.
