Ekta Kapoor announces Naagin franchise film adaptation

Producer Ekta Kapoor has announced that her popular supernatural television franchise, ‘Naagin’, will be adapted into a feature film. The announcement was made via social media on the occasion of Naag Panchami.

In a teaser video shared on Instagram, Kapoor showcased the history of the franchise, which has aired for 11 years. The video featured various actresses who have played the iconic shape-shifting serpent role across seven seasons, including Mouni Roy, Surbhi Jyoti, Nia Sharma, Surbhi Chandna, Tejasswi Prakash, and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary.

While the announcement confirms that Balaji Telefilms Ltd is taking the franchise beyond the small screen, specific details regarding the film’s plot, director, official cast, or release date have not yet been disclosed.
