El Alfa, Dominican urban music star (Emanuel Herrera Batista), gave a Rolls‑Royce to the Centro Cristiano Soplo de Vida, the church led by pastor Yesenia Then. The vehicle was intended to be sold and the proceeds used for building a new temple and expanding the church’s facilities.

Pastor Then told followers in a YouTube video that the donation was fully managed by the church’s financial committee and that the money remains in the ministry’s accounts. She also explained that the church’s income comes from digital platforms with about 20 million followers, book sales, and tithes, which fund operations, a food bank and medical assistance for members. The donation has attracted public questions about state oversight after a journalist’s report examined the church’s finances.
