Mexico City rideshare driver kills senior with taser in fatal altercation

On 1 August 2026, a dispute between a rideshare driver and a passenger escalated in the Benito Juárez borough of Mexico City. According to police reports, the driver used a taser on the passenger, a man of about 70 years old, after the argument over the route.
