El Bolsón police detain Russian woman in connection with death investigation
Police in El Bolsón, Río Negro, have detained a Russian woman, identified as Inna Bulatova, in connection with a judicial investigation originating in Buenos Aires. The case involves the death of a newborn, with unofficial reports suggesting the investigation pertains to illegal abortion practices.
During a search of a residence on Las Flores Avenue, authorities seized various medical and obstetric items, including stethoscopes, syringes, needles, scalpels, sterile disposable material, a portable scale, oxytocin, ampicillin, and sedatives.
Judge César Lanfranchi approved the request for internal extradition, allowing Bulatova to be transferred from Río Negro to the federal capital to face the criminal and correctional court overseen by Judge Karina Rodríguez. Because the suspect does not speak Spanish, an interpreter was required for the legal proceedings.
