El Burro community seeks intervention for unfinished polyclinic

Residents of El Burro and Monte Aguilar in Puerto Plata are calling for government intervention regarding a primary care center that has remained unfinished for 11 years. Community representative Dania J. Polanco Hiraldo has urged Senator Ginnette Bournigal de Jiménez and Minister of the Presidency José Ignacio Paliza to visit the area and inspect the current provisional clinic.

The issue dates back to 2013, when Altagracia Polanco donated 1,000 square meters of land to the Ministry of Public Health specifically for the construction of a rural polyclinic. Residents are seeking assistance to navigate state bureaucracy and determine which agency is responsible for completing the project.
