El Calafate swimming competition set for February 2027

The eighth edition of the Vuelta a la Isla Solitaria swimming competition has been scheduled for February 20-21, 2027. Organized by Nadadores del Glaciar, the event will take place in the cold waters of Lago Argentino near the Club Náutico Lago Argentino in El Calafate.

The competition will feature various distances, including 5km, 3km, 1km, and 500m, as well as relay modes. The 2027 event holds historical significance as it coincides with the Centenary of El Calafate and the 150th anniversary of the naming of Lago Argentino. Registration details and further updates are expected to be released starting in September.
