El Campello invests 626,897 euros in LED lighting for Carrer la Mar

The El Campello City Council has launched a comprehensive renovation of the lighting system along the Carrer la Mar promenade. With an investment of 626,897.49 euros, the project aims to replace existing luminaires with more efficient LED technology to reduce energy consumption.

The works, awarded to Sociedad Ibérica de Construcciones Eléctricas (CISE), are expected to take four months. In addition to upgrading the promenade, the project will extend public lighting toward the Alkabir urbanization, connecting industrial and commercial zones. The installation includes 10 electrical panels to support sporting and cultural events, as well as RGB projectors for palm tree oases along the beach.

Mayor Juanjo Berenguer has signed the commencement documents for the project, which is currently focused on excavation work for the new electrical network on San Ramón Street.
