El Campello social center construction delayed until November

Construction of the ‘El Barranquet’ social center in El Campello has been delayed by two months, with completion now expected in mid-November. Mayor Juanjo Berenguer attributed the delay to heat issues affecting work on the roof.

The project involves upgrading the building's waterproofing and climate control systems, including the installation of modern air conditioning units. Due to safety concerns during the removal of ceilings and ductwork, the center has been evacuated, halting all professional, educational, and recreational activities. Local social welfare officials are coordinating with community associations regarding the extended closure.
