El Capitan Theatre to Host 'A Goofy Movie' Fan Event with Max and Goofy

Disney’s historic El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood will stage a special fan‑event screening of the 1995 film A Goofy Movie on August 21, 2026, as part of a limited engagement running through August 30. The event includes live appearances by the characters Max and Goofy on stage before the movie.

Two ticket packages are offered: a Powerline Pack for $78 (including a reserved seat, priority entry, a Powerline Max popcorn bucket, a 24‑oz fountain drink and an event credential) and a General ticket for $38 (reserved seat, popcorn, drink and credential). The theatre, celebrating its 100th anniversary, is also concluding its run of Spider‑Man: Brand New Day.
