El Carmen opens new rural health station in Loma de Horno

The Municipality of El Carmen converted the former Cardenio Franco school in Loma de Horno into a Rural Medical Station after a year of work and budget adjustments. Mayor Renán Cabezas said the project was funded with municipal resources and community contributions, providing medical hours, nutritionists, nurses and kinesiologists on certain days.

Health Service Ñuble director Marianela Sandoval and DESAMU director Sergio Campos attended the inauguration, praising the collaboration with the municipality. The station will serve residents of Loma de Horno, Los Puquios and Pangalillo, especially older adults, and a registration period runs through August with informational meetings planned.
