El Cedro Summer Camp Concludes with Over 200 Children in La Gomera

The El Cedro Summer Camp on the island of La Gomera wrapped up its five‑week program, hosting more than 200 children and teenagers from the island’s six municipalities. Organized by the Cabildo de La Gomera and held at the El Cedro Nature Classroom, the camp offered age‑grouped sessions that included hiking, workshops, games, sports, excursions, artistic activities, and lessons on Gomera’s culture and environment.

Cabildo president Casimiro Curbelo praised the high participation, calling the camp “a space for personal growth, learning and values education.” Youth councilor Guillermo Medina highlighted the trust families placed in the project and thanked the organizing team for delivering a program that emphasized environmental awareness, sustainable habits, and respect for the island’s natural heritage.
