El Ceibo joins Argentine basketball league as San José enters Bolivian football division

El Club El Ceibo has officially confirmed its participation in the upcoming season of Liga Argentina, the second tier of national basketball in Argentina. Based in San Francisco, the club views this as a major milestone in its institutional and sporting growth. The club emphasized that while competing nationally is a significant challenge, it remains committed to its youth programs, which currently serve over 600 children and adolescents.

In Bolivia, the San José football club is set to compete in the AFO 2026 Primera “B” tournament starting in late August. Following a relegation in 2025, the club was ratified for the division despite previous registration uncertainties. The tournament will feature six teams, including Atletic Felap, Aurora, Saavedra FC, Quiroziñhos, and JCDT Bolivia FC, after Sur-Car was disqualified for recidivism and other teams requested special permission to withdraw.
