El Cupey Livestock and Ecotourism Fair opens in Puerto Plata

The 18th edition of the El Cupey Livestock and Ecotourism Fair has officially opened in the El Cupey community of Puerto Plata. Organized by the Asociación de Ganaderos Puerto Plata Central (AGPPC), the event features animal exhibitions, agricultural products, cultural activities, and gastronomy.

During the inauguration, Minister of Agriculture Francisco Oliverio Espaillat Bencosme emphasized the vital role of livestock production in the development of rural communities. He expressed the ministry's commitment to supporting producers through initiatives focused on productivity, animal health, genetic improvement, and sustainable livestock practices.

Local leaders, including provincial authorities and representatives from the AGPPC, attended the ceremony to celebrate the 18-year tradition of the fair and its contribution to the national agricultural sector.
