El Espinar water supply restored after forest fire disruption

The Duero Hydrographic Confederation (CHD) has restored water pumping from the Puente Alta dam to the municipality of El Espinar. The service had been suspended as a preventive measure due to the proximity of the Revenga forest fire to the pumping station.

While the CHD reported that water supply was reinstated around 21:30 hours on Sunday following an assessment of the fire's evolution, the Junta de Castilla y León criticized the lack of communication regarding the outage. Regional authorities stated they were not informed by the Government Sub-delegation in Segovia when the water was cut or when it was restored, a delay that impacted the Integrated Operational Coordination Center (CECOPI) during the emergency response to the fires in Revenga and Navas de San Antonio.
