El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. reflects on WWE match against Dragon Lee

Mexican wrestler El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. has reflected on his recent career milestones within WWE, specifically highlighting his match against Dragon Lee on Raw. The bout took place during a tournament to determine a new number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Wagner Jr. noted that while he had previously appeared for NXT and made a main roster debut on SmackDown against Carmelo Hayes, his match with Dragon Lee was particularly significant. He described Dragon Lee as his “top wrestler in the world” and noted that despite competing in Japan for many years, they had never faced each other until this WWE appearance.

The veteran luchador also shared that his journey to WWE was a long process, revealing that he participated in his first WWE tryout 15 years ago via SUPERLUCHAS but did not receive a contract at that time. Following that unsuccessful attempt, he built his career through independent circuits in Japan and in promotions such as ROH and AAA before finally competing on the WWE Raw stage.
