El Jadida to host the 5th Grand Prix d’Afrique in 2026

The 5th edition of the Grand Prix d’Afrique is scheduled to take place from September 10 to 12, 2026, in Morocco. Organized by the Société Royale d’Encouragement du Cheval (SOREC) and the Association des Loteries d’Afrique (ALA), the event marks the first time the professional gatherings will be held in El Jadida at the Parc d’Exposition Mohammed VI.

The three-day event combines horse racing competitions with professional industry exchanges. While the professional seminars and B2B exhibitions will be centered in El Jadida, the racing component is set to occur at the Hippodrome Casa-Anfa in Casablanca.

A central feature of the program is the ALA annual seminar, titled ‘Cultures, social behaviors and consumption in the African lottery business.’ This seminar aims to bring together experts, national lottery delegations, and international partners to analyze how sociocultural specificities and evolving consumer habits impact various African markets. The event serves as a platform for cooperation and innovation among gaming and lottery operators across the continent.
