El-Kanemi Warriors prepare for CAF Confederation Cup clash with Raja Casablanca

El-Kanemi Warriors Football Club chairman Waziri Isah has expressed confidence in his team's readiness to face Morocco's Raja Casablanca in the CAF Confederation Cup. The Borno-based club will host the first leg of the matchup before traveling to Morocco for the return leg, which is scheduled to take place at Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca on October 24.

Despite recent relegation challenges, Isah stated that the club is prioritizing the continental competition while simultaneously working toward a return to Nigeria's top-tier football. The club has also launched a youth development program, integrating approximately 15 young players with the senior squad to foster local talent in the Borno community.

Technical Adviser Emmanuel King noted that preparations have intensified, focusing on physical fitness, tactical understanding, and player confidence. Additionally, the club has implemented improvements to player welfare, including enhanced accommodations and match bonuses.
