El Mante municipal government provides 70 livestock subsidies

The municipal government of El Mante, led by Mayor Patty Chío, has provided 70 subsidies to support a livestock genetic improvement event held at the El Mante Livestock Association facilities.

The initiative, coordinated through the 2026 Productive and Economic Development Support Program (Program 5107), originally authorized 60 supports for the acquisition of high-quality genetic sires. Following direct negotiations by Mayor Chío with Cuauhtémoc Amaya García, the Subsecretary of Livestock and Forestry Development, an additional 10 supports were granted, bringing the total to 70.

The subsidies cover various breeds, including Beefmaster, Red Brangus, Simbrah, Swiss Blue, and Brahman. This program aims to strengthen the local cattle herd, increase competitiveness for regional producers, and stimulate the rural economy through strategic investment in the livestock sector.
