El Marqués 1985 arrives on Prime Video

The second season of the Spanish thriller series ‘El Marqués 1985’ has premiered on Prime Video. This new installment features a temporal shift from the 1970s to the mid-1980s, set against the backdrop of the ‘Movida Madrileña’.

The plot is inspired by the real-life disappearance of Santiago Corella, known as ‘El Nani’, who vanished in 1983 following his arrest for an alleged jewelry store robbery in Madrid. The narrative follows journalist Onofre Romera, played by José Pastor, as he investigates the case while navigating themes of police corruption, social tension, and systemic violence.

Produced by Kaixo Unicorn, the six-episode season includes Pablo Louazel in a prominent role. While the series draws inspiration from true crime events that impacted Spanish society, it maintains its own fictionalized narrative structure.
