El Marqués administrations face corruption investigation calls

In Querétaro, members of the Morena party are calling for a federal investigation into alleged corruption within the PAN-led administrations of the El Marqués municipality. Santiago Nieto Castillo, coordinator of the 4T Committees in the state, requested that the federal government probe claims regarding the misuse of public resources, the hiring of 'aviadores' (ghost employees), and the personal assets of former official Enrique Vega.

Nieto Castillo stated that if irregularities are confirmed, the Morena-PT-PVEM alliance will demand the return of misappropriated funds to the municipality. He also criticized the PAN for using terms like 'narcogobierno' and 'narcopartido' to attack the current administration, characterizing these actions as a smear campaign against President Claudia Sheinbaum and the Fourth Transformation movement.
