El Marqués allocates over 28 million pesos to sports and recreation

The municipality of El Marqués has allocated more than 28 million pesos toward sports, physical activity, and recreational infrastructure under the administration of Rodrigo Monsalvo Castelán.

Through the Institute of Sport and Culture (INDECU), approximately 14.27 million pesos were directed toward mass sporting activities in areas such as La Cañada, Zákia, Jesús María, La Griega, El Colorado, and Paseos del Marqués. These programs included themed races, yoga, and zumba classes. Additionally, nearly 4 million pesos were used for sports equipment, benefiting 5,500 athletes and students, while over 6.8 million pesos were dedicated to providing uniforms for municipal academies and various soccer leagues.

Investment also included over 1.18 million pesos for the maintenance and conservation of sports infrastructure, including the El Colorado Sports Unit and Zakia Central Park. Furthermore, 2.1 million pesos were specifically designated for physical activity and healthy lifestyle programs aimed at women, benefiting more than 2,000 participants.
