El Marqués invests 1.95 billion pesos in 300 public works

The municipality of El Marqués has invested approximately 1.95 billion pesos in 300 public works projects during the first two years of Rodrigo Monsalvo Castelán’s administration.

In the second year alone, the administration executed 196 projects with an investment of 1.16 billion pesos, marking a 48 percent increase over the 785 million pesos spent during the first year. The largest portion of the budget, exceeding 420 million pesos, was allocated to municipal infrastructure. Other significant expenditures included 163 million pesos for road maintenance, 124.5 million for mobility infrastructure, 112.4 million for storm drainage, 101.4 million for urbanization, and 89 million for sewage and drainage systems.

Reported projects include the “15 de Mayo” Public Primary School, the Macroespacio San Pedro, various sports units, and Community Development Centers. Additional works involved the expansion of the road between La Laborcilla and Matanzas, the construction of the Tierra Blanca access boulevard, and the development of several homes for the elderly.
