El Marqués municipal police launches new proximity officer recruitment

The Municipal Public Security Secretariat of El Marqués in Querétaro continues its permanent 2026 recruitment drive for proximity police officers. Applicants must be 18‑35 years old, hold a completed high‑school certificate, have at least three years residence in the state of Querétaro, and, for men, present a cleared military service card. Candidates who pass the evaluations of the State Trust Evaluation and Control Center (CECCQ) will enter an initial training course of more than 1,200 hours and receive a monthly scholarship during the program.

Since October 2024 the municipality has added 46 new proximity officers and has raised the base salary, making its police among the best‑paid in the country.
