EL og IT Forbundet reaches energy sector labor agreement

EL og IT Forbundet and Fornybar Norge have reached an agreement regarding the Energy Agreement (Energioverenskomsten), affecting approximately 5,700 members in the power industry. The settlement follows extensive mediation and addresses 12 out of 16 demands.

The agreement includes a general central supplement of 19,012.50 NOK effective from July 1, with other tariff rates increasing by 9.5 percent. Notably, minimum wage rates will be raised by between 40,000 and 50,000 NOK, depending on the position. Additionally, the supplement for ‘safety leaders’ (LFS) will increase from 8,500 to 10,000 NOK to recognize the responsibility of managing high-voltage work safety.

The negotiations also resolved disputes regarding standby and emergency provisions, with the new terms codifying current practices. The result now moves to a membership vote.
