El Pajonal wins Vuelta al Departamento Pomán as Vargas earns paracycling silver

In Argentina, the El Pajonal team won the 35th Vuelta al Departamento Pomán. The local team secured the general classification with a time of 5 hours, 39 minutes, and 54 seconds over a 93-kilometer course involving 22 teams. The event, held as part of the Pomán Anniversary Week, featured 14 stages and included a 10-kilometer recreational race won by Wilson Orellana and Johana Chazarreta.

In international paracycling, Colombian athlete Carlos Andrés Vargas Villanueva earned a silver medal in the men's C5 road race at the Huntsville 2026 World Championships. Vargas finished with a time of 1:50:09, participating in a mass sprint against competitors from France and Australia.
