El Paso Locomotive FC defeated Monterey Bay FC 1-0 at Southwest University Park on Wednesday night, securing the season series. Alex Méndez opened the scoring in the 30th minute after beating the goalkeeper with a precise shot. The hosts continued to press for a second goal, with Gabi Torres striking the cross‑bar, but the lone goal proved enough.

The victory gave El Paso back‑to‑back home wins for the first time this season and the first such streak since May 2025. It also marked consecutive home shutouts, a feat not achieved since April 2023. Benny Díaz guarded the net for the Locomotive. The club will host Oakland Roots SC on August 8 for its annual “Women Supporting Women” night.
