El Paso residents outraged by teens in KKK costumes

A group of individuals, appearing to be teenagers, sparked widespread outrage in El Paso, Texas, after being filmed wearing Ku Klux Klan robes during a Halloween event on the city’s east side. Video footage circulating on social media shows approximately six to seven people in white hoods and robes walking through a residential neighborhood.

Witnesses and social media reports indicate the group allegedly shouted racial slurs while marching through the streets. U.S. Representative Veronica Escobar condemned the incident, describing the act as “deeply disturbing and unacceptable” and stating that treating the history of the KKK as a costume is “not a joke.”

The El Paso branch of the NAACP has scheduled a news conference to formally address the incident following the reports of the group terrorizing local families.
