El Pòsit del Serrallo recognized for coastal sustainability

The restaurant El Pòsit del Serrallo, located in Tarragona, has been recognized by Ecovidrio as one of the nine most sustainable hospitality establishments on the coast. This distinction is part of the seventh edition of the ‘Movimiento Banderas Verdes’ campaign, an initiative designed to highlight sustainable practices, circular economy models, and proper waste management among coastal businesses and municipalities.

In Catalonia, the campaign included approximately 2,000 professionals across 18 municipalities. Alongside El Pòsit del Serrallo, the restaurant Villa Más in Sant Feliu de Guíxols was also honored for its commitment to sustainability.

El Pòsit del Serrallo earned its recognition through several environmental initiatives, including the use of renewable energy and the offsetting of its carbon footprint via the #CEROCO2 project, which supports Amazonian conservation. The establishment also prioritizes sustainable gastronomy by using MSC-certified fish and sourcing local, fresh products.
