El Puerto de Santa María honors hospitality industry figures

The Association of Retired Hoteliers of El Puerto held its traditional lunch to celebrate the feast of Saint Martha. The event included a visit to the Osborney wineries and a moment of silence for the victims of the Urda railway accident.

This year, the association presented awards to three prominent figures in the local hospitality sector: Marisa Cruz of Venta La Feria, Juan Luis Cordero of Bar Pijota, and the Benítez family of Bar Apolo. Mercedes Cruz, a long-time specialist in Mediterranean cuisine and rice dishes at Venta La Feria, was specifically recognized for her culinary mastery and contribution to the local gastronomic identity.
