El Salvador boosts public safety and education with US tech aid and new school programs

The United States Embassy in El Salvador donated 55 interactive screens to DoctorSV, expanding the country's telemedicine capacity and enabling real‑time disease monitoring and remote health training. In parallel, a public‑safety mobile app, Public Safety by Everbridge, was launched for the upcoming FIFA World Cup venues in New Jersey and New York, allowing over a million visitors to receive multilingual alerts.

Vice President Félix Ulloa announced a $352 million investment in the Lempa River basin for environmental protection and the School of Innovation in Public Administration (SEAP), which has trained about 14 000 civil servants. The government also rolled out a “two schools per day” renovation programme, allocating more than 5 % of the national budget and GDP to education. The Trifinio integration plan, a tri‑national initiative with Honduras and Guatemala covering 7 500 km² of shared ecosystems and coffee production, now benefits roughly one million people and has attracted cooperation from the United Kingdom and Morocco.
