El Salvador construction industry grows 21.8%

El Salvador is experiencing significant growth in its construction industry, recording a 21.8% increase, the highest rate in Central America. This growth is characterized by a rise in vertical housing in areas such as San Salvador, as well as high-end residential and tourism projects along the Pacific coast.

According to Luis Rodríguez, Executive Director of the Metropolitan Area of San Salvador Planning Office (OPAMSS), total investment in the construction sector has reached $5.651 billion. The development is supported by strategic government vision and private sector involvement in hospitality, urban, and logistics projects.
