El Salvador Fire Claims One Life in San Juan Opico

A structural fire broke out in a house located in the El Mesón settlement of Chanmico canton, San Juan Opico district, La Libertad Centro municipality, El Salvador. The Salvadoran Fire Department (Cuerpo de Bomberos de El Salvador) deployed several units, performed control, extinguishing and liquidation maneuvers, and later found one person dead inside the dwelling.

Authorities have not disclosed the victim’s identity or the cause of the blaze. Firefighters remained on site to conduct inspections and determine the fire’s origin, and the incident remains under investigation.
