El Salvador police arrest multiple suspects in homicide, gang and drug cases

El Salvador's Police National Civil (PNC) captured three men—Noé de Jesús Campos González, Juan Gabriel Segura Hernández and Nicolás Alberto Pérez Tovar—who are accused of killing a 40‑year‑old man in a barroom dispute in Apaneca, Ahuachapán. A fourth person was also injured during the incident.

The force also detained 20‑year‑old Diego Gerardo Morales Menjívar in Soyapango after he posted images showing affiliation with the 18 gang. He faces charges of belonging to an organized criminal group.

Additional operations this weekend led to the arrest of a 16‑year‑old who stole cash from a home in Chalchuapa, Santa Ana, and an 18‑year‑old caught with marijuana, methamphetamine and electronic devices in Colón, La Libertad. Police also seized at least four people in Lourdes, San Juan Opico and Villa Suchit on drug‑trafficking charges, alleging they moved cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine from Guatemala.

All detainees will be presented to the Fiscalía General de la República for prosecution on homicide, theft, drug‑trafficking and organized‑crime offenses.
