El Salvador sends 502-member delegation to Codicader student games

El Salvador has officially dispatched a 502-member delegation to the Codicader Secondary Level Central American Student Games 2026. The regional tournament is scheduled to take place in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, from September 4 to 13.

The Salvadoran contingent includes 342 student-athletes, consisting of 164 women and 178 men, supported by coaches, delegates, and referees. The delegation will compete in 20 different sporting disciplines, including athletics, basketball, soccer, chess, martial arts, swimming, and volleyball.

During the official flag-handover ceremony, INDES President René Martínez stated that the athletes carry the pride and trust of the nation. Minister of Education Karla Trigueros noted that the participants represent students from various departments, including Morazán, San Miguel, and Santa Ana. The games will also feature athletes from Belize, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, and Honduras.
